Written by:

BERLIN, Aug 1, 2008 (AFP) - Four German international ice hockey players have been suspended for three months after failing to take a drugs test, for the second time in 18 months, according to the German Ice Hockey Federation Friday.

The ban means that Aleksander Polaczek and Daniel Kreutzer will miss the first 17 matches of the German season, while the situation of Robert Dietrich, who plays in the NHL with Nashville Predators, is yet to be clarified.

The fourth player suspended was Andrea Lanzl, who played for the German women´s team at the 2006 Winter Games in Torino.
